Drop down antlers

I'm familiar with the popularity of bagging a buck in Texas with a drop down antler. I noticed on another website a hunter bagged a buck with a 9 inch drop down in Illinois ...How common is this non-typical rack in white tail deer country?

never seen a drop tine in South AR. Think it is more common with 5,6,7 year old deer and we don't let them run that long

A drop tine seems to becoming more and more common. I personally have never killed one myself but have been to a friends house and he had three wall hangers all with a drop tine.
