New guy & new Traditions Vortek UL

Great site! I found it by accident while looking for info on muzzleloaders. I have been reading the ML posts to help me decide which one to get. I recently purchsed a Traditions Vortek UL. I also picked up the Hornady SST 250 gr. and Pyrodex 50/50 pellets. I had a Bushnell Sportview scope in the closet that I mounted on the gun. I am waiting for this triple digit heat to subside before heading to the range. It's just too hot! A friend of mine also picked up a ML. He got the T/C Bone Collector with a Zeiss Conquest scope. We are heading to Ohio this November to hunt in Harrison county. I was born and raised in Cleveland and still have family and friends there. One of my friends has about 60 acres south of Freeport near Smyrna that we will be hunting. I was lucky enogh to get an 8 pointer there 2 years ago and hope to be lucky again. What is the general concensus on the Hornady low drag sabots, the ones with a "tail" on them?
