Pistol Restoration

Got this from a forum member that needed some help. I restored this one for him in about 2 weeks. Mostly drying time for the finish. He seems real happy from looking at the pics. Its a .44 cal italian brand.

On the brass i just hit it with some 220 grit and left it rough. We agree'd on an antique finish and what i like about the side lock plate, it still has some casting marks that when i "polished" it, it made it look like it had engraved scenery at some point.

Barrel finish i did by wrapping thin string around the barrel then using bleach and letting it soak for half an hour. I removed the string and then soaked a rag in bleach and wrapped it up for an hour. Once that hour was up i just let it dry over night and washed with warm soapy water the next morning followed up with Ultra gun shield for rust protection and it will be easier to clean up
