I have a CVA muzzleloader and for the money it is a really great gun. I have a .45 cal. and like it alot. CVA also makes a .50 cal. You can get them in camo and they also come with a stainless steel barrel.

If you are looking for a way to get into black powder hunting then CVA is the way to go. It doesn’t take alot of money to get started and they are a very dependable gun. With my .45 cal. my first hunt was on Thanksgiving Day and it rained so hard I could hardly see. After about 2 hours I decided to go home and my CVA still fired. I was so proud of my CVA. If you get a chance check them out and good luck.

Good Hunting…

Some Other Reviews from Muzzleloaders

CVA Wolf .50 Caliber Inline Muzzleloader
The CVA Wolf Break Open Muzzleloader is a good beginners rifle. Inexpensive to buy and a lot of fun to shoot. Uses 209 primers for ignition.

Thompson/Center Triumph .50 Caliber Magnum Muzzleloader
I bought the T/C Triumph when they first came out. What attracted me to it was the ease of cleaning advertised. I would rather spend more time enjoying my muzzleloader than cleaning it.

Knight LK-93 .50 Caliber Inline Muzzleloader
The Knight LK-93 was my first ML to take into the deer hunting woods. I bought it used and it had not been took care of by the previous owner. I ended up having to buy a new nibble because the one in it was so corroded.
