I first got this stand around 6 or 7 years ago. Bought it used from a guy who had only used it several times. It is very comfortable and easy to sit for an extended hunt. It grips well to the tree and I feel safe while 20 foot up a tree.

These stands have the chain straps that are wrapped in black plastic. The plastic will wear off after several years of use. When the plastic wears off it makes it more difficult to descend a tree because the chain will bend and flop around. I have replaced my chains once since I bought it. My
only complaint with this stand is the fact that it is on the heavy side. Still with it being heavy the pros easily outweigh the cons.

Pros

  • Comfortable Seat
  • Sturdy
  • Safe
  • Easy to use
  • Plenty of room

Cons

  • Heavy
  • Bulky

Some Other Reviews from Climbing Stands

Summit Treestand
I have used the Summit stands for the past 5 years and I will have to say that they are real comfortable to sit in. They are also light weight and no trouble to back pack into the woods.

Summit Viper Treestand
I will start with the cons of this product. First and foremost is the price this treestand will cost about $300. Another thing I don’t like is the fabric on the treestand.
