If you shoot any kind of black powders guns Bore Butter is a must have. At the end of muzzleloading season I clean my barrel very well and then apply a a coat of the bore butter. It inhibits rust build up, corrosion, makes it easier to load, and seasons the barrel.

Just be sure the barrel is completely dry before applying. We spend alot of money on muzzleloaders it only makes good economical sense to take care of part that the bullet comes out of.
