This was a last chance deer hunt for me and my son john. Due to work demands we had a very limited season. We snuck out early thanksgiving morning to try to get one more 1/2 day hunt in. John killed a nice 6 pointer out of our buddy stand about 0830 and I had resigned my self to eating my buck tag this year when on our way to the truck we jumped this dude up. .270 winchester black tip droped him at 70 yards. This deer is wider than my big 10 pointer. very close to the house and nobody had seen this deer all season... luck over skill every day I say... Another father son memory...
