CMP Airguns for Training
 
Anybody have their youth in a 4H rifle program? I help with our local instructor, and we use a variety of air rifles before they progress to the range with .22's. So much that I went out and got a CMP surplus Daisy 853 air rifle and that thing is a hoot! Practically silent, more accurate then I am so any failure to hit a 9 or X on a 10-meter target is my fault, not the rifle or sights, and at 600+ fps that .177-cal pellet means no stray Coke can is safe (or woodpecker, either).

Anybody else got a CMP Daisy and or use air rifles to train kids?
