Duck Food

With the no rain it was easy for me to break open the ground in my duck holes, We are going to try and plant some Japanese millet mid Aug, weather cooperating

TG, here in Ohio we refered to duck holes as small depressions that hold enough water to attract waterfowl. Sometimes they are man made and planted with stuff to attract ducks and geese when flooded as delbert was indicating. Others might be a secluded open pond area within a marsh.

Its Just the low ends of are Fields that hold water during the winter .
Ducks like to hang out there and get shot at

We are deep into the severe drought in NE Arkansas
We all got together last weekend and put a 2" pump in the ditch to water the newly seeded millet food plot. we all felt like fireman the pressure was crazy good !!!
I'm making a high flow sprinkler head for next weekends watering,it will be interesting to see if we can sit back and enjoy the show .
i will get some pics up next weekend with the green up

I have been watering the Millet the last few weekend and its starting to take shape.

Well the pumping is over between rains ,Issac,and the storm moving through today !! Water is backing in to the duck hole
Are extreme drought is over
