pa in the morning for 3 days of turkey hunting with a couple buddies the ones i deer hunted with out there. not counting lost time from work its a very cheap hunt. our licenses are good from last deer season, the cabin is 35 a night, and we are all going in one of those zippy little Subaru and splitting the gas which shouldn't be more than 50 bucks. 3 birds on video is the goal but i'll settle for just having fun.
only hunted mon and tues. rain forecast for tues night and wed morn so we bailed. the farm had been hammered over the past week. the farmer said he'd been hearing lots of shots but no one was getting anything. there was butt prints under every tree. i had one come in basically right from roost to 50 yards but i choose not to shoot even though i'm 90% sure he would have died. i got him coming in on tape but i haven't seen it to see if i can use any of it but it sound like maybe. did get a couple ground hogs. that could have been better but the farmer hadn't cut yet. thats it.
