birds are strange down here this year. can't hardly get them to talk. been rough hunting. am hunting easterns and oceolas. both have been very quite.

season doesn't open here till may 3

They're getting apart from the flocks now. More toms are spreading out and getting very gobbly. Being on a small reservation there really isn't a set time/season for spring birds. Basically, if you can call them in and get a shot then go fot it. Just been scouting out the birds lately.

dang, florida season will be over by then. still have goergia turkey until middle of may though. :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

wish i had the ware with all to start in fl then move on over to texas and then make my way north as the seasons open and close. tn opened today my buddy in east tn got a nice one this am.

tried again, this morning. birds just aren't cooperating. almost like they have bred already. did get some meat though. buddy shot this snake while looking for hogs, after our morning set-up for turkeys. should bbq up real nice. lol

darn it. tried to resize. sorry about it being a small pic. about a 6' foot rattler. blasted it with 00 buck. lol TWICE. lmao
