Late season turkeys

I was curious if anyone had some tips concerning late season turkeys

about all i have heard is sleep in late because they are all henned up in the morning

i like the part about sleeping in!!!!!!!!!!!

A henned up tom can be shot. If you can get where you hear the hens Pick out the one with the biggest mouth and duplicate her vocalizations in sounds and cadence. Sometimes this makes them mad and they will come to set the pecking order. A lot of the times they will bring the tom in tow. Late season here is they gobble on roost and then shut up for the rest of the day hens or not, more or less. Longer sits, use your eyes more. use a gobble call in with your hen calls but with less calling. thats about all I got.

i hunt em the same way as early season.they are just a little more skittish

After I hear a gobble, and it's usually just one, I set up decoys and watch very closely because the toms come in silently. May be 10 min or 40 min or not at all but I think that patience must be a factor for the late season.
