HR Ultra Slug Hunter Scope ????ssss
 

Recently bought the HR Ultra Slug Hunter 12ga and am looking at adding the Nikon Slug Hunter with the BDC200 reticle. Has anyone tried out this combination? I'm getting mixed reviews on the scope reticle not working proprely. I have already purchased several boxes of the Hornady SST's for the range and their velocity seems to match Nikon's Slug Hunters specifications.

Also for those that have this combo were medium rings high enough to avoid the hammer from interferring with scope?

We got 4 of the 20 GA HRs in the family
I got a Nikon pro staff on my wifes gun looking at the rings my guess would be medium and the hammer has just enough clearance to work without a problem . you do need the extension on the side of the hammer to get hold of it, are guns all came with it.

We also shoot ssts

Thanks delbert I was really hoping the medium rings would work out, and I do have the hammer extension. Did you happen to try out different slugs besides the SSTs?
