New gun question
I recently bought a Remington 870 Express Combo and I was wondering if I should trust the way the sights are when I bought it or if I should at all costs break down and go buy some slugs to test and make sure it's sighted in. I've looked at the windage and as far as right and left the setting seems to be dead on center. I just was wanting to figure out the best way to approach this before deer gun season comes in on the 26th of november here in ohio. Any replies or pm's on this subject or advice would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to get out in the field and get caught in a jam with a gun that doesnt shoot accurately.

shoot it.. i think you got to spend some extra money on the slugs to get some shots under your belt. get comfortable with the gun and the sights. it ought to be pretty close but i would still shoot it first just in case. you dont want to miss what could be a very nice deer because your gun was a little off. good luck with it

I All Ways Put At Least 20 Rounds Through A Gun Before I Go Out For The First Time With It. Its Just Good To Know Where And How It Shoots. All Guns Are Slightly Diferent. But I Like To Know When I Am In The Woods And Be Confident.
Just like any other gun, it needs sighting in

Always shoot your gun to see where it shoots cuz you will probably have to get some sort of sighting system to have an accurate pattern.

Not only be concerned about missing completely but a gut shot deer that hauls booty to the next county dragging his luggage. Fire it a few times to guarantee accuracy and build your confidence.
