Timney Trigger for Rem 870

I've wanted to do this for a long time and finally did, I got a Timney Trigger Fix for my 870 slug gun. You don't replace the entire trigger, you get a new sear, three sear springs in hard, medium, and light, and a small allen wrench for adjusting the pull from 2 to 4 lbs. It took me about 20 minutes to install the new stuff, I used the medium spring and put the adjustment in the middle to start. After pulling the trigger a half dozen times I left it at those settings. What a difference, I couldn't believe it. I went and fired 5 rounds at my buddy's farm real quick just to try it, unreal. You can't believe how stiff and rough a factory shotgun trigger is until you try something like this. Anyone interested, it's called Timney Trigger Fix, it fits Remington 870, 1100, and 11-87. Best price I found was $78 & free shipping from an outfit called "milspecdepot.com".

TL im not advocating you buy another shotgun but if you get a chance shoot the savage 220.Its built just like their 110 rifle.Guy at work bought one and i sighted it in for him.Gun shoots awesome and in the right hands its a legit 200 yard gun.Savage has the accutrigger on these which is great.Your right most shotguns have terrible triggers and Timney makes a good product.Of course they recommend you shoot the 20$ a box Federal Barnes Expanders out of it.:crybaby:

Hey Spiker, good to hear you. I'm hip to the 220, I set one up last year for my older bro-in-law who wanted a lighter gun for deer hunting. The trigger is great on that gun and it drills tacks, and actually of the three different rounds we tried the Tipped Expanders were the most accurate with Rem AccuTips a close second.
