You need to offer up a little more info, like are you using a smooth bore or fully rifled barrel, or a smooth barrel with a rifled choke?????

I have a .12 gauge with a mod choke factory barrel on it idk what it is can i put a slug through it?

smoothe bore modified barrel can shoot rifled slugs but not sabot slugs.

You will be able to use rifled slugs in it, just don't put in a tighter choke. If you're just using a bead sight then get out and practice with it, and know your limitations.

yes, they are fairly cheep so find which one your barrel likes. Your max range with a smoothe barrel will be around 50-60 yds and knowing where the slugs are on paper. Breneke (spell?) is one to check out.

I use a 20. guage shotgun without a scope with a rifled slug. So my first time goin huntin with it , i missed a doe at about 20 yards , i was very disappointed and confused but i finally got over that, my second time huntin with it after about an hour and a half of sittin in the tree i heard some noise behind me so i turn around and saw nothin so i turn back around and there's a big doe standin at about 50 yards , but she was headin uphill and i was afraid she would get away so i went ahead and took the shot , dropped her on the spot with a nice shot to the neck, so there you have it.

get a rifled barrel for it and use the hornady sst slugs for rifled barrels.there AWSOME
