???noob New to deer hunting ... I own a NEF Pardner Pump 12 gauge. can I use rifled slugs in it and use it for deer hunting??? |
Does it have the 28" vent rib barrel or is it the Protector model with the 18.5" bead sight barrel? Either way yes you can shoot rifled slugs through them, that is what rifled slugs are for. If you have the 28" barrel make sure you use the right choke, not one tighter than modified. If you have one with a rifled slug barrel then use sabot slugs. If you are just using a bead sight then try to keep your shots around 50 yards or so, no use wounding an animal. |
Thanks... It's the 18.5" barrel with beaded sights..addressing the 50yrds ...what kind of scope would you recommend for it?? |

If you decide to just use the bead sight then you must practice and get very comfortable using it, and take your time when taking aim at a deer. |
