Got my 1st deer with a slug gun

6 1/2 years ago, we bought a HR 20 gauge with a rifled barrel. My boyfriend after many years of hunting and being skunked, got his 1st deer with it, a nice modified 12 point buck that dressed out at 220 pounds. 1 1/2 years later after he had gotten his dream gun a Lee-Enfield British .303, I used the slug thrower to get my 1st deer ever, a nice mule deer doe that dressed out at 180 pounds. That gun is so accurate you can pound nails at 100 yards. We still use that gun, but for longer distances we have our .303's, yes, I got a sporterized model.

Ahh! very nice!! Brand name aside...it's about using what is most comfortable for the shooter. Ultimately, the shooter has to believe in what he uses to make a good shot.
