Biggest Buckshot

How big is the largest commercially available buckshot?

That is what caliber are the pellets and how much does each weigh?

May want to concider a 16ga or even a 20ga.My 15 year old daughter shoots a 20ga and handles it very well.If you are going to try deer hunting with it then definitly go with the 12ga.Just get a heavy one and it will reduce the felt recoil.
That I know of 000 buck is the largest size shot you can get.Not sure about the size but I believe it contains 9 pellets.More pellets as you go down.00 - 0 - #1 etc. This info is for 2 3/4 shotshells. You can look on any manufacturers(remington, winchester etc) website for specifics on size and number of shot.

and the hits keep on coming

Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison.

And last phase, we must manage this resource so our children and their children can experience the grand tradition of good deer hunting." - Jim Slinsky
