I am one that actually reads the manual cover to cover, field strip the gun, work the action blah blah blah before even thinking of firing a weapon
& it actually is stamped on the barrel not for use w/ slugs

I got my new Ruger LCP over a month ago & have not shot it yet because I haven't had time to do my checklist & now it has to go back for a recall so I won't probably shoot it till next year

i help out in a gun shop every now and then and you'd be surprised how many folks don't know about the over bore. thats why i went with the 870, not that i ever slug hunt.
