I purchased a Mossberg 835 NWTF model 2yrs ago & Love it
I have bagged 3 deer & my first Turkey with it ( plus numerous birds & Clay pigions ) No issues with it
Have a Remington 11-87 Super Mag, an 870 Super Mag for Turkeys, a 870 20 Ga. Mag for upland birds, and just got a Remington/Baikal SPR453 12 Ga.The 870 is the most gun for the money.
Dude the remington model 870 Super magnum is definently the way to go. its only jammed on me a couple times and that was when i was pumping through a hundred rounds a night dove hunting. its an amazing gun. and be sure to get the 3.5 inc
hey gfdeputy, do you run slugs down that smooth bore or do you have a slug barrel? i only ask cause the smooth is an over bore and its not good to run slugs down it.
Ronn I purchased a smoothbore barrel on Ebay brand new for under $30.00 Sorry I forgot to mention that
Yes that is the draw back of the 835 but thanks to Ebay (not paying $100.00 for a barrel ) it is not a big deal takes like 20 sec to change the barrel out for the price I am happy with it just wish it was a little shorter
butt stock is a little long for me deer & Turkey not a problem but Drawing on the fly at clay's & birds sometimes I have a little trouble but I am trying to find a camo youth stock for it & that issue will be solved
