A friend of mine took two deer with his shotgun this past season.I don't know all the details. He has a scoped, rifled barrel gun with a drop chart on the stock. He ranged the deer with his range finder and calculated a 15 inch drop at 180 yards on one of them.He dropped it with one shot.I got some bologna and sweet sticks out of it.
Last year I started using just standard 2 3/4" #4's for my daughter
she took her 1st turkey on her 1st hunt ever at about 30yards
so I decided to give them a try took my bird at 40yards I am done with the "Turkey" loads don't need them waste of money as far as I am concerned now

3.5" shells dont give you anymore power. All you get is a heavier load with the same powder load as a 2.75" shell. if you do a little ballistics check on them you will see you get better ballistics from a 2.75" shell. I think most people thing they or a better load is from the extra kick they give. Thats just from them havibg to push a heavier load
