Got on line and discovered my model 70 was built in 1957. It's in 243 cal wearing a dated weaver v8 scope. Book shows these to be priced near $2000.00 range. This one is is ex condition with a distraction of having a recoil pad added at some point in it's life., which lowers the value. As noted in another post the owner had a custom leather scabbard made for it. This may end up going on sale as profit margin makes for the purchase of something more custom possible.

I've always wanted an over/under shotgun, and I still need a black rifle????? The fun is in the shopping. I'll take a couple of more months to think about it, no hurry. The value though really caught me by surprise and got the mind thinking, which always gets me in economic trouble!
