Pre-Rut advise please.

Is it better to hunt a climber/ground blind located in woods or on a tri-pod sitting on a highline with 200 yard lanes? Seems like I read the deer tend to stay more in the woods for the pre-rut/rut, while they tend to walk out to eat at the feeders in the lanes after the rut is over. Any suggestions? Thanks

Just be out there whenever you can, wherever you can. As long as you know the deer occupy the areas you want to hunt you should be ok. Power line/ Gas lines are good because the deer can cross at various distances and times and you can see better.
