I managed to get some time off work and around school so took a buddy of mine up to the lease weekend after opening rifle, missed my chance on the 3rd doe seen and then got one the next evening 45 mins after my buddy tried to make a hard shot on a moving deer, hes never killed one before,i probly should of talked to him about waiting for a good shot but at least he clean missed it and he knows for next time.
And to your friend.. We all live n learn, glad was clean miss, the good thing about talking to other hunters in person and on sites like here is learning, it helps us all do better and keep mistakes to a minumum ! His time will come and I'm sure with your help, you'll put him on the right track to his first harvest!
Must be nice to take time off work to go hunting. My boss, no such luck. I am waiting for Thanksgiving, a four day holiday. Going to Texas Whitetail Deer Hunting Ranch and Texas Hunting Ranch for whitetail. Wish me luck, and congrats on your deer.
thanks for the replys, his response after the trip was "we're coming back every weekend right?" lol he was bummed he missed but he still hada great time, we both did , my goal is 2 more does then im out for antlers.
