New rifle

Taking it to the Georgia lease this weekend. Howa 1500 varmint in .308 . I am very impressed with this rifle. Shoots like a dream and will shoot hole for hole at 100 yds. Gonna see if i can let the air out of a nice buck this weekend. Been hearing the bucks are starting to chase.

What did you choose to put on it? A regular say 3x9x40 or a true varmit scope? What load are you using for Deer?

i put a 4 x 12 -40 Redfield on it for now. that is what i had sitting around. Gonna change it later. Am currently shooting a handload that my buddy made up for me. 165 gr Sierra HPBT .
