Opening Day Rifle IN NH

31-year-old Hunter Fatally Shot in Hunting-related Incident in Lisbon, N.H.

CONCORD, N.H. A 31-year-old man who was hunting with his father and brother on the opening day of New Hampshire's firearms deer hunting season was fatally shot today at approximately 8 a.m. by another hunter in the vicinity. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred off of Mt. Eustis Road in Lisbon, N.H. The alleged shooter was unrelated to the victim's hunting party and is being interviewed by authorities at this time.

Gun safety must be a priority among everyone......Treestand safety as well, a man died in WNY by falling 30 ft.

yea we just had sombody fall 16 feet out of a treee stand now he's in c.c

Guess we had two here in NH one fatal & one was not a life threatining injury

Happens every year despite all the safety courses and reminders of safety.

TG I know it does happen
NH has a pretty good safety record but 2 shootings on opening day
it is just stupidity & that bothers me the second one this year was a stray bullet ricochet & that happens but the first one I think was the old "I thought he was a deer"
