Default Marlin 917v .17 HMR

Anyone familiar with this rifle? Not for deer hunting ,of course, but just picked one up in hock and wondering if anyone has info. that is not on Marlin web site. Best loads? reliable? etc.

Don't own one personally but they are known to be good rifles. Marlin makes some very accurate rimfire rifles.

I have one and a ruger single six in 17 hmr.

I have used the 17 and 20 gr bullets and both shoot about the same. I have taken a bunch of rabbits with them but that's it.
