Do deer like to hide and bed down among rhododendron? In the mountians in VA, there is a lot of rhododendron, and was wondering if this is a good place to look for deer that are bedding down. Thanks for your help!
In PA that's where the safety zones for deer are. It's always a good thing to set where you can see a couple of inlets and exit runs in that stuff. It takes a ladder stand or a good high hill side stand to really hunt them. In PA we call them Mountain Laural thickets.
very woody bush like plant that stays green all year, blooms with big flowers. Grows together to form giant masses that a person can barely crawl through.
What does it look like? Wonder if it's here in NY?
rhododendron
I'm not sure but I think there may be several different color variations too...
