No sir, I did not think you were doubting anything. And I honestly do appreciate the offer of a simpler way to estimate range. I took no offense and meant not to intend any. I learn things that I did not know about hunting on here on almost a daily basis and was just trying to offer up an explanation on something that I excel at for the benefit of others who may have been curious about how the mildot system actually works. All the time knowing that there are other ways to do the same thing that are infinatley easier to master. I always am in search of knowledge of ways to improve my hunting skills because, at the very least, we owe the animal's that much and if, in turn, I can pass on some knowledge to some curious someone........thats all the better.

Default optics

I have a compact Zeiss 8x20's? and leica 1200yd range finder.I mostly carry the lieca in open country, use as mono, and zeiss for the oaks/timber when packing iron sights. Both of these units have excellent optics, just have to push oneself to pay the price. My first rangefinder was bushnell and did'nt have the optics quality.
