Looks pretty cool ronn. Is it a 223? That's a really light weight rifle. I was at the local dealer today looking at Stag arms. Not sure of the cal yet but I think I will be ordering a Stag built rifle at the end of this month. They are also USA built and do 80% of their machining. I'm thinking of a 6.8 cal as I won' be shooting a whole lot but it could be used for hunting a varity of game. Any experience out there on the 6.8 cal? Does anyone own a Stag built rifle?

yea its 223. stag has been around a while. Ive not seen/held one. these things jumped in price oh about a year ago for the life of me not sure why. did you see the remington? they have a stainless/camo at my local shop that keeps calling my name but its a little more than i care to pay. i look at these guns for the most part as guns built for rounds down range, which is the reason for a 30 round mag. thats why i went with the cheap ammo of the 223. this dpms 308lr one the other hand is built for a different reason. its heavy 10 lbs plus and very stable on the bipod

very serious looking. I won't be burning up ammo at the range so I like the in between 6.8. I see where barnes has a 120 gr bullet for the 6.8. If ... a person wanted to take it deer hunting it would do the job. Most likely this one will be near the bed. I'm thinking of a nice light and mid range green dot what do you think?

sounds good. that 6.8 is suppose to be a pretty good round. i like the green laser not sure what the green dot is. on my bushmaster its a red dot, laser, and light from bas. right around 100 has built in lens covers. even being a 223 i can't bring myself to burn ammo. just not my gig.

My next gun is going to be an AR that i can hunt deer with. Looking at 6.5 grendel or a 25 wssm. Any comments on which to go with would be appreciated.
