I have no need for bore sighters. As described I use a 2x2' pc of plywood safely placed in front of a sand pile @ 25 yards. On bolt actions pull the bolt and look down the pipe. I have yet to not hit paper on the first shot with this method. Usually 3 shots gets me exactly where I need to be. I print off the ballistic table and bring it to the range for reference. Move out to 100 yards and another 3-4 shots taken and I am good to go. With my guns I generally site in 1.5"-1.8 high @ 100 yards to get me zeroed at 200 yards.
