I havent decided yet ronn, I'll probably go with a mid-line Nikon but not sure yet.

I had to make a choice of rifles recently because I had Cabelas points and big time promos to burn. I already owned 2 30-06s; first rifle bought a Remington 700 BDL 30-06 Stainless/Composite, secon rifle a Benelli R1 semi-auto 30-06 in Walnut/Blue.

I had about 1000 to burn at Cabelas. I ended up with a Kimber 8400 Classic in 300 WSM. The Kimber is a very nice piece with Mauser action. I opted for 300 WSM to try and pickup some long-range ability for larger game in open areas like Elk. I topped it with a 3.5-10 x 50 BDC Nikon Monarch scope. It remains unfired along with 2 other unfired pieces in my safe. The other 2 unfired are a TC 50 Caliber Omega, Stainless/Laminate with Nikon Omega scope and a Franchi Veloce 12 g. over/under trap type shotgun.

No I haven't got it back yet. I just called and the person who's handling my rifle wasn't in but left a message for him to call or email me so I can find out whats what. I'll let ya know soon as I hear anything.
