Default Scope mounts for a Savage 116

I recently bought a Nikon Buckmaster 3x9x40 scope and want to mount it onto a Savage 116L that I bought recently as well. The rifle does not have iron sights, so I don't need to worry about mounting the scope up higher. I am pretty new to hunting and was wondering if anyone could make a suggestion about which type or model scope mounts and rings to buy for this combo.

Thanks so much,

Kevin

there are to many variables. you'll same time and money going to a gun shop. tube length, ring height, eye relief, just to many chances to mess up. weaver style rings should work well.

everything ronn said and spend what you can, buy the best mounts you can have them properly installed and then have the scope bore sighted. The shop should do that for free.
