Just picked up two Marlins, 336a in 30-30, 336 in 35 rem and 14 boxes of ammo. 98% condition on both, 600.00. I get pictures in a couple of days. I've wanted a 35 rem for bad weather hunting!
Excellent scores! The 336's are the best of the lever-action rifles, IMHO. I have a whole stable of them, 3 336's in .30-30 (don't ask why), a 336 in .35 Remington (used to have 2), a 336 in .375 Winchester (actually that model was called the "375", and an 1895 in .45-70. The ammo is the key part. .30-30 is plentiful, but .35 Remington is getting scarce. Factory loads are only made by Remington, Winchester and Federal. Buffalo Bore makes it too, but it is super-spendy. My rifles love the Federal blue-box the best, but it's nowhere to be found around here. Hand-loading cures, that, and the Speer 220-gr is a superb bullet.
