full stock rifle

If you are talking about the old mannelicher style stock Ruger makes one they use to call it the international stock but haven't seen one recently. I have one with laminated wood my wife gave me on our first Christmas, still got it and it is still a beaut!

Or find an old Interarms Mark.X Mannlicher. You can probably get one for that price.

Interarms is probibly your best bet at that price

Ruger does offer manlichers in both their Number 1 and Model 77 models. They will each cost at least 800-900 dollars new. Sako makes a great bolt action manlicher but that will cost you over 1000. The Interarms rifle is a mauser action that will last forever with care. There are usually a few restocked used rifles at the gun shows from guys that decided they wanted a full stock rifle. Some of these built up rifles are beautiful and are truely works of art.

A good friend has a full stock in 257 Roberts, what a great little deer getting machine. It has great balance and just plain good looks. I see them occasionally at the gun shows. Something I've never owned.
