Question protein feed in deer feeder

I hunt in texas and and a lot of leases you have to share deer hunting with goats and cows. So I have a fence around my deer feeder. Is there anything to keep protein pellets from cloging up spin feeder? I tried the kind that was supposted to have water proof coating but it still got soft and clogged in feeder. Is there anything I can add to soak up moisture? Will some of the descaint that comes with electronic stuff work?

thanks Joe

I'm no expert but i put rice in salt and sugar to keep it from absorbing moisture and clumping up.
