The Future of Hunting Depends on This
Beyond Fair Chase by Jim Posewitz is one of the best books dedicated solely to the subject of hunter ethics that I have ever come across in six decades of reading about hunting. It's easy reading - doesn't get into the heavy philosophy stuff - only 112 short pages and can be read in one evening by anyone. Also, it's very interesting with several examples of what hunter ethics is all about. I can't say enough good things about this book. As ethical behavior is something that most of us are trying to define and redefine as we evolve as hunters, this would be landmark reading for everyone. PLEASE, if you love hunting and wildlife, AND you would like to see our hunting tradition SURVIVE for future generations, READ THIS BOOK! PLEASE! You can get it from Amazon.com for about seven bucks - but, like they say in the TV credit card ad - it's priceless. Heck, if you can't afford it or can't find it, you can borrow mine.
(Hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting this twice. It just wasn't getting read enough under the old title - and it's too important for that.)
