i just got back from hunting today i was stalking for all of 45 mins when i spotted movement so i picked up the binnoculars about 150 yrds out i saw a doe so i worked my way closer till i was about 75 yards when she finally presented a shot ,her head and neck .I put the cross hairs on her neck and squeezed the trigger on my marlin 30/30.boom.next thing i see 3 then 4 deer running.I didnt see any of them before. I raised the rifle again to take a second shot but nothing stopped running.I figured i'd go to the spot and look for blood.Didnt find no blood just a dead deer .the bullet severed her spinal cord in the neck she died on the way to the ground.didnt run 1'.Easy tracking job.I took one pic with the cell phone.I got to go hang her now i'll take some more pics

i dont know how much she weighed she was a yearling i cut her all up and she fit in a cooler its out on the porch i salted the hide gonna do it with the fur on.i got another one to do i left in the furnace room stiff as a board now .hopefully i can soften it back up ill take pics and post em in a future post
