OK Here it is
Sat. morning I was sitting in my Dads blind and I had seen a few squirrels and 3 big tomm turkeys, in the afternoon I had seen 6 bucks between 3:00 and dark, I thought about taking the 6 point but I couldn't go against my personal gaol of an 8 point or better so I went back to camp with no deer. So Sun. I went back to my Dads stand and saw nothing all morning and that afternoon I went back to sit in my own stand, it borders the south side of a marsh first I saw 2 does and later I saw 2 does and a half rack I was going to shoot it despite my 8 point rule and waited for the 2 does to go by but the buck went into some brush and never came out. So no shots. Then I saw a small fork hon buck, and now it is almost 4:oo and I look out my back window and here comes a buck at first I thought maybe a big 6 or 8 point at maybe 160 lbs. The buck was coming staight at me and the only shot I had was at his chest and when I once I stopped him I let him have it. Now after thinking I have a smaller deer imagine my suprise when I walked up to an 11 point 180lbs dressed weight that buck go's over 200 lbs. on the hoof. I really thought I had shot a smaller buck, so no ground shrinkage.
I posted the pic in the gallery. ENJOY.
