Hey, I was just wondering if I could use .308 cal. bullet to reload my 30/30 shells.

why not. aren't all 30 cals .308? i'm pretty sure they are or at least the 30/30, 308,30.06,300 savage,300 win mag, are. the problem with the 30/30 is the tubular magazine of most rifles. pointed bullets are a bad idea unless its a single shot or bolt action. thats where the levervolution comes in to play and why 30/30 is round nose. the other thing with 30/30 or tubular mags is you need to crimp the bullet in the case or the recoil with the pressure of the spring will push the bullets into the case.

Thanks ronn!! I was looking at reloading bullets and there were hundreds of them labeled .308 cal.. Thanks again!!

the 30/30 is a good one to play with but the precautions i mentioned are the issues with it.

If you are going to use these in a lever action with a tubular magazine you can not use pointed bullets. They have the potential to hit the primer and make a round go off in the magazine. Make sure you use only round nose and flat nose bullets
