Default Win760 the same as H414????

I went by a local gunshop yesterday and picked an 8lb keg of H414. The store manager said that H414 is identical to my favorite Winchester 760 and that they are off the same line and are the same powder. I checked a couple of manuals and they do appear the same, is this true that they are the same powder?

I don't think they are the same. i think win760 is a ball powder and the h414 is an extruded or cylincrical powder

Yes, Win 760 and H 414 are one and the same. Hodgdon makes NO smokeless powder, they are a reseller only. They both are made by General Dynamics, in the St. Marks, Florida facility.
