can't think of why it would not work, I use an old government issue steel and formica desk (mounting the presses was a pain in the backside but once done, it works pretty good. I have a friend that uses an old wooded door set on cinder blocks. as long as it is stable, it will work. my desk is a little light and the force I use to resize brass would make it tip a little, so I drilled a hole at the back and mounted an eye bolt facing down, filled a 5 gallon bucket with cement and put a thin cable that was tack welded on one end to a piece of steel at the bottom under the cement, the other end of the cable is cinched up to the eye bolt, the desk has not moved since. I have an old lee single stage and a lee progressive mounted to it
