overturn call or step down

I think in this day and age of the importance of instant reply, that wrongs done on the field should be made right. even a day or two later.
The last out of wednesdays game with Detroit and the Indians should be ruled a no at bat and the last out should be ruled the blown call. the perfect game should be recognized and awarder to Galerraga.

Or Bud Selig should consider stepping down because he is out of touch with the important issues. You cannot blindly deny the annels of baseball soley on an out of date set of principals.

i dont watch nearly as much as i used to. but still heard about this. last out in the 9th. blown call. replays prov it. even the ump admited it was a bad call, and that it cost that pitcher a perfect game. mistakes can happen, i dont think anyone should hold it against him. But MLB has realy messed up in this case by not awarding him the perfect game he earned. sorry rant over

Thats a tough one.. I feel bad for both the ump and the pitcher..

It would not bother me if they overturned it but what would that create? They would have to start analyzing all different kinds of calls from then on. It would never stop until they implemented an instant replay system.

If they overturn it they will have to implement instant replay on the field. Kinda of like football I guess where each coach gets a set number of challenges.

Umps have always had to make judgement calls in baseball. They would have to have very strict rules from now on if they do a new system on what you can review in instant replay.

Could you review balls and strikes, etc, etc, etc???

Instant reply is going to come to baseball anyway, now whould be a good time for it as it preserves an important milestone in the sports history.

I dont watch hardly any baseball anymore(since all the strikes started) but I heard about this call and watched it several times and it torqued me that such an injustice could be allowed to prevail in the face of absolute support from all involved for the reversal of the call.
