If you say "MAYBE" then you're probably not going to vote at all, thus pretty much giving Obama another vote b/c it'd be one less that the republican party gets. Now, I guess you could always do a write in- but when's the last time a write-in actually HELPED a polictical party, let alone won a presidential election?

I mean no disrespect... All I'm saying is I don't like Romney either- can't stand the guy. But he's a saint compaired to Obama and I DO believe he will make some necessary changes. The main focus of our nation needs to be "GET OBAMA OUT".
Tator im probably going to get myself in alot of hot water over this answer. But i have tons of respect for you, so i will give you a 100% honest answer about what i want. (excluding my above post wich would be my first choice). If mitt romney wins the republican nomination, i can only see it ending one of 3 ways.
1. He picks a strong conservative, as his running mate. say for example Allan West, or Sara Palin. (in wich case i will swallow my pride and vote for mitt). Then Hope and Pray that the VP will lead by example, and that Mitt will help turn this country back around

now the next 2 out comes are going to take some explaining. right now i see our country as being in a "cold war" with its self. the govt is preparing to strike down any rebellion, or revolution. if you do not believe this just look at some of the bills that they have recently passed. ie the in-defendant detainment of US citizens without trial. We the people are also preparing to defend our selfs. if you do not believe this look at the rise in the number of militias in our country, as well as the soaring number of gun sales in the last few years. and yet nether side has struck the first blow, so yes we are in a "cold war". i have watched this vid several times. it is Ronald Reagan talking about the cold war. it will only take about 4 min to watch, but watch it, or dont bother reading any more of this post.
"A Time For Choosing" by Ronald Reagan - YouTube

now for the last two scenarios that i see as possibilities.
2. Mitt Romney picks a RINO like himself as a running mate, and loses to Obama. Obama no longer in fear of having to be re elected attempts to turn us into a socialist state, and attempts to make himself our dictator, and or allow the Muslim brotherhood to take over. he dose so in such blatant disregard to the constitution, that "we the people" rise up and take our country back.

scenario 3. Again Mitt picks a RINO as a running mate and beats Obama. he continues to run our country into the ground, but at a much slower rate. "we the people" sit back and do nothing, because he will not do anything extreme enugh to make revolution justified. the few who do attempt to rise up will not be supported by all ( We the people), and there for will be labeled right wing terrorist. this will be the slow destruction of our country, and there for the worst of the three scenarios i see as an outcome of this election.
now if you watched the vid i posted you will understand this. i would rather be dead than red, and i would rather die on my feet than live on my knees. Also you will understand why i keep posting the quote:
If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.
Thomas Paine

now that i have written all this. Tator what i want is a Rick Santorum/ Newt Gingrich ticket. if i cant have that i hope and pray that Romney will pick a strong conservative running mate. because if he does not i would rather scenario 2 over scenario 3. Also if this is my last post it means that "big Brother" got a hold of this post, and that i have been in-defiantly detained for exercising my First amendment rights to free speech, as well as my first amendment rights to peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Hunt,
I would hope you never give up and I am not encouraging anyone to give up.
I'm just saying I'm not wasting my time and effort in worthless work worrying about something that hasn't happened yet. We are going to get what we get
without my input except what I do locally.

Some like Romney and some don't, but the other option is disaster if we have to endure 4 more. You see what "O" is doing now and he has to run for reelection this year. What will he do to this country if he doesn't have to worry about reelection? That's the part that makes me sick. ANYTHING is better than that!!!
Hunt I wasn't dissing you and I never will.

i did not think you were making fun of me. i was just saying that i would rather be mad all the time than have my head buried in the sand. and no, if you watch the vid i posted, and read the three scenarios i posted, there is something worce than his re election.

EXACTLY what I was trying to say. Hunt- thank you for remaining respectful in this discussion- I greatly appreciate it. I absolutely agree with you on the Santorum/Newt ticket- that would be awesome. That would be my "combo". The other scenarios you listed are of some concern to me as well. I agree that Romney is a big-spending money-hungary man... BUT, I still think he'll do a better job that Obama. Quite honestly, I know in my heart, I WOULD DO A BETTER JOB than Obama- and I'm no where near qualified. If Romney does get in, that's step 1 in my eyes. GET OBAMA OUT. Now, if Romney wins- who says he has to stay in office more than 4 years? The important thing to remember is that Obama will be GONE and he cannot run for re-election again. That's all I'm saying. We can pick and choose who we like the most and who we want to win all day... but when it comes voting time, we need to band together and vote Republican for our NATION. This is OUR COUNTRY. I think Romney will get the picture if he wins the election... there's going to be alot expected of him. I think he's smart enough to realize that. Now, will he actually do it? Who knows. I know one thing though, we have a better shot at getting back on our feet again as a country under Romney than we do as Obama. Like you said Hunt- "Obama is slamming this country down fast, but Romney will bring this country down slowly" Well at least it's an improvment. I know that's bad to say, but comon.

A "no-vote" is the same as voting for Obama.

Tator there are a few things from this post i would like to address.
"if Romney wins- who says he has to stay in office more than 4 years?"
To my knowledge, never in history has a party run another candidate, when there party's sitting president is seeking re-election. so the only way we would not get stuck with him for 8 years is if A. he chooses not to run again after 4 years, wich i doubt he would do. or B. he runs again but is beat by a democrat.

"The important thing to remember is that Obama will be GONE and he cannot run for re-election again."
Unfortunately this is not true. yes he would be gone, but there would be nothing stopping him from running again in 2016.

"Like you said Hunt- "Obama is slamming this country down fast, but Romney will bring this country down slowly"
As i sead in my post, im not sure this is a good thing. if Obama were to try to hard to bring us down people would rebel. but if Romney dose it nice and slow, we would sit back and let it happen. then in 4 years we would just get stuck with another democrat like Obama.

For me, if Romney wins the Republican ticket, his choice for VP would be my deciding factor on how, or if, i will vote in the presidential race.

i was not saying anyone should pick her. the liberal media did an awesome job destroying her. i was just using her as an example of a strong willed conservative.

Sorry then... we are just going round in circles here. I know what party I'm voting for regardless. We'll end this conversation out of mutual respect.
