Popular Vote as much as im not happy with the results so far, i do beleave that the popular vote should be what elect presidential nomanys, as well as how the general vote should be desided. so im gona try my best to keep an accurate tally of the popular vote. after 3 states ( Iowa, NH, and SC) this is the popular vote. in first place Mitt Romney with 294,616 votes. in second Newt Gingrich with 282,727 votes. third is Ron Paul with 160,877. fourth Rick Santorum with 155,256. will try to update after each primary if there is any interest from you guys in following this. |
The only problem with popular voting in a president would be the super states would/could elect every president based on concentrated population. They already have the big electoral college votes advantage. |
Very interesting numbers Hunt NH. I'm a big fan of the popular vote. I understand Hunting Mans concern but it works both ways. Plus, states elect their representatives and senators so Congress may not be so logjammed as it is now. Be interested to see some studies on this. |
not a fan of popular vote either... MOST of the time, that would mean a DEMOCRAT for president. |
Alrighty with Florida added the new numbers show In First place Mitt Romney with 1,069,630 votes In second Place Newt Gingrich with 815,844 votes Third place Rick Santorum with 378,005 votes and Fourth place Ron Paul with 277,981 votes Ill try to get Nevada results added tomorrow. now if you will excuse me im gona go drink myself into a comma, and try to forget how absolutely disgusted i am with the results so far.:green: |
YEP... Romney is in the lead because the media (democrats) want him in the lead.... BECAUSE HE'S BEATABLE! |
you're right Tator, hope nobody thinks we the people elect a president??? |
Tator, I totally agree, the Dems are the pollsters! |
