Two weird fish I caught
 
I caught these two fish in Padre Island. I have no idea what they are called. The first is really ugly. The second one is kind of neat looking.

the first one is an Oyster Cracker/Toad Fish, the second is I have no idea.

We have fresh water gobies which are strange looking also.

Weird indeed. In my limited fishing career Ive never seen anything like that. Would not want to cook that first one whole.

never knew the real name "toadfish" we has several names for them as a kid catching them around jetties and rock piles. I do know "DONT" grab it around the body.It has spines that have poision that will mess you up

I remember cathing toadfish we used to catch them for crab bait I know they could live a day or so out of the water too Nasty ugly fish
