here is my boy with his first gobbler at 9yrs old it was 23lb with 10.5 in beard, and 1.25 spurs, hope to get him his first deer in about 4 weeks just got the plots seeded and rain on the way wooohooo

Congratulations to both the boy AND his dad. The picture reminds me of getting my first gobbler (my only one in fact) when I was about 8 or 9. It was a Thanksgiving Day gobbler to boot.

To this day I thank my grandfather for taking the time to teach me about hunting and have tried to pass that same interest down to my children. When my oldest son got his first deer, my mom's words to me were "Your grandfather would be proud of you both!"

Some memories are priceless and the best one's I have (besides my children being born) are of hunting.
