OK the computer line thing was a bad idea. Maybe if you say the tracks are more towards a straighter line than a dog. Slightly off a little.

i think it depends on the breed of domistic dog as to is there a lot of stagger or only slight. think of a georiga bull dog's gate or rotty verus a bird dog or coon hound.

the ----------- is perfect for a fox track, --_ _--_ _--_ _ is dog or coyote. not a lot of difference between the two, or less of difference than between a coyote and a fox
