Yep. . . it was a corn pile! But, I didn't shoot him over corn. . . I shot him in an oat patch!!!

Here is a photo of my wife and her first Kansas buck or deer ever. By the teeth, this deer was probably 5.5 - 6.5 years old. She chased him for 2 seasons. Though his tines are short and few, he has an impressive 25" spread.
She is proud of him and I'm proud of her!

North east Kansas. Central Riley County to be exact. I'm just 20 minutes north of Manhattan Kansas or about 50 miles north and west of Topeka.
Our land is in the northern part of the flint hills right on Tuttle Creek Lake. Great place. Wild and rugged. Not like one would imagine of Kansas.
